After my 4.5 years of my service as professional engineer, I have applied for vacations for 30 Days. As all of my friends are working at different organizations and most of them are living abroad therefore I am unable to find friends for get together. In my city its very difficult to find old friends specially engineers. Engineer;s life is full of worries and full time duties. Some are working in shifts others are working 24hrs on Call, some are 14 days site 14 days home, some are in other cities and others are in other countries. On contrary other professions such as MBA, ICMA, CA etc have peaceful life. They have office jobs having proper office hours duties. No overtime no site works. They have white collar jobs. I some time wounder why engineers are given so much tough time. They are born to work hard and work with people in team. That is why they have worth in abroad. One of the thing that all engineers face is the risk factor in their work. Most of engineers work in field . Install or Maintain the processes which include working on machines whether electrical or mechanical.  They are held responsible for the smooth operation of the system. Any disturbance in the system is not acceptance whether it take time or money to resolve the problem.

I have seen many profiles of engineers they usually look for opportunities and move forward. The reason is that they want to reach at the position that provide them metal and financial ease. In short if any one want to be engineer then he should accept the hardness in their life.
